Service Knock Sensor
Service Knock Sensor
engine light came on went to autozone they scanned the computer, it said
bad knock sensor. aside from that they where clueless where the sensors
where and how many I had. I went online youtube found that this is a
typical problem and many videos on how to fix, I even found Service Knock Sensor (GM
technical bulletin update) on replacing the my knock sensors. take the
youtube videos with grain of salt cause all of the videos showed a
harder and crazily difficult way to disassemble everything even the
videos from auto parts stores. anyway using my vin I got the gm part
numbers I needed then found out that gm is using acdelco replacement
parts now even if I ordered the parts from dealer would be this acdeelco
part, so I then went to the acdelco web site using my vine got part
number also cross referenced the part numbers with the gm part numbers
just to make sure there the right ones. in short
Service Knock Sensor
--I ordered 2 (ACDelco
213-3521 OE Service Knock) and amazon did not have the acdelco wire so
went with the (Dorman 917-033 Knock Sensor Harness) and new acdelco
head gaskets kit Service Knock Sensor ( ACDelco Intake Manifold Gasket Set w/Pads & 10
Bolt(s)) also from amazon. in all took about 1 hour plus another hours
looking for tools. works perfect, new and should get another 10 years
of service or more from it. do it right the first time so you don't have
to do it again don't reuse gaskets or bots with old worn out cracked
and dried out rubber on them. GM technical bulletin update on replacing
the knock sensors suggests to use new wire even if the old one still
looks good and always use new gaskets. buying from amazon has good
prices, fast shipping and easy returns, never a issue
